It is hard for me to believe that my son Cole is already 1!
It seems like just a few weeks, not 12 months ago that my wife Kristen and I welcomed our son Cole into this world. We celebrated his big day with family in friends in St. Louis at my folks house.
I don’t know about you, but with Cole being my second child this first year has been extra special! It has been so much fun watching Cole grow in our ours and also watching him grow thru Emma’s eyes (she is our 5 year old).
There are still many days where I just sit and watch or listen to the two of them play and I just think, WOW! These are my two kids! 2 kids lol I am so lucky and I can’t wait for each day when I get to hear them, see them and play another game or draw another picture.
It is amazing all that has happened in the last year and nothing compares to watching Cole grow.

I have a 13 year old Cole and he is the best kid ever! What’s your Cole’s middle name, our is Austin. There aren’t many Coles at his school, lots of Colby’s and Colton’s. Cherish everyday and take alot of pictures. One thing I wish I did more of was write down all the funny things my Cole has said, like we played this game where he had to fill in the blank to famous sayings,At 4 yrs old like “A penny saved is a penny in my piggy bank, or A woman’s work is never, he said enough. So cute, write down those funny things your kids say.

My daugther turned 7 on Sept. 16th and the happiness that date brings to my heart is the most undercribable one. I guess you feel the same as Cole’s father.

If you think one more year went by quickly, just know that with two of them each year will fly by. Soon you will have a teenage daughter and a 9 year old son, and he will get on her nerves to the point of which it will drive you crazy. But, just as it will drive you nuts, they will form a bond as to the point of when you discipline one, the other will become extremely defensive. Yeah, such is the case of siblings, but WOW is it both rewarding and fun. Congrats, and good luck, life could not be more rewarding!
