I met my future husband in elementary school. We dated in 8th grade, broke up, and flirted all through high school. Neither one of us would ask the other one out again though due to one major factor…we have the same last name already! It was too taboo and weird, having to deal with and explain the name ordeal in high school. But one day, our senior year, I meticulously stalked him and asked him out in-between classes, it must have worked because we dated, and it’s been love for almost five years! I joke saying, “If he doesn’t take my last name I’m hyphenating to Butler-Butler.”

My situation is a bit unusual. We have been together for eight years. The catch is we have two beautiful daughters, a house, a dog, even a picket fence. I want to finally make our lives complete. I’m afraid I have waited so long that a wedding has lost its luster. I have to go big, go small, or go home. As long as she is there it doesn’t matter. I often surprise her at work with a side-by-side shake. When I proposed last month her shake had an attachment to be with me side-by-side forever. Help me give my main squeeze the wedding she deserves.

06-15-2009: I receive a letter, my college loan deferment period ends and monthly payment begins- my dream wedding deferred.
12-19-2009: Reuben graduates after footing the bill for college.
