Katy Perry Talks Taylor Beef and Girl Kissing Rumors with James Corden

Last night was another epic Carpool Karaoke on the Late, Late Show with James Corden, as Katy Perry was his guest. This time, it wasn’t about what they did while signing, what they sang, or any special guests who joined them. This time was all about the rumors they addressed. Obviously, Katy has had quite a few of “hot topic issues” lately.

Katy Perry Addresses “I Kissed a Girl”

There’s been plenty of rumors flying around that Katy Perry reportedly told Miley Cyrus that “I Kissed a Girl” was about her. The logistics on that are kinda revolting though, as Katy would have been 22, while Miley would have only been 14. GROSS!  James never even brought up Miley’s name, but instead focused on Scarlett Johansson, who is only a month older than Katy. THAT would make more sense. While Katy admits Scarlett was one of the “muses” who inspired the song, it was actually about a different girl.  But then Katy had a more stunning confession… (sorry Miley).

Katy Perry Talks Taylor Swift “Beef”

Bless James Gordon for even attempting to get Katy to address her ongoing feud with Taylor Swift. Surprisingly, Katy was very forthcoming. She first claimed Taylor started it, then confirmed it was over back-up dancers which were apparently Katy’s first and NOT stolen in sabotage. Katy said she reached out to Taylor to clear the air, but was ignored, adding, “and then she wrote a song about me.” She’s referring to “Bad Blood” as is believed.

Katy responded with a reminder there’s a thing as karma and every action has a reaction.  Ultimately, she said she was ready “for that BS to be done”, but Taylor needs to apologize. A text would be fine. James confessed he was “going to get to the bottom of this.”

Ultimately Katy is all about women artists coming together.

I think personally that women together, not divided, and like none of this petty ****, women together, will heal the world.

If James could make that miracle happen, and they could get past this, we’d support that. Remember when they talked about collaborating back in 2009…

We’ll keep hoping. #GirlPower
