After Monday’s horrific events in Manchester, England, Ariana Grande suspended her tour at least through June 5th. She was described as inconsolable and an emotional wreck. We can’t blame her, as she rushed home to her family and reportedly Mac Miller’s arms. We can’t even imagine what’s going on in her mind. But this new news is about the best response we didn’t see coming.
Earlier today, Ariana made an announcement that not only will she be getting back to touring soon, but she will do a benefit concert for Manchester. But then the bigger shock: it’ll reportedly be IN Manchester. OMG!
I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families.
Nothing in confirmed yet, so there are no details. But she promises those will be coming soon.

The strength for Ari to return to the city where it all happened. What an awesome move, and the kind of thing that shows just how strong we all can be and need to be in the face of such tragedy. We can’t cower and live in fear. As the people of Manchester have shown, we need to be strong. Shawn Mendes echoed this at his Paris concert last night.
You should never be afraid to enjoy to do what you truly love to do. You should never be afraid to enjoy music. ~ Shawn Mendes, Paris, May 25, 2017
We should all be inspired by the strength and words of some of our favorite young artists. Props to Ari!
